Evil Queens and Wicked Stepmothers: Sarah and Hagar

ONLINE THROUGH POWELL HOUSE

From Delilah and Jezebel to the Whore of Babylon, scripture offers strong archetypes of villainesses. In this 90-minute workshop, we will consider the story of Sarah and Hagar from a variety of perspectives. Aspects of this story are like a fairy tale, but it is also part of our sacred text. Ashley M. Wilcox will share context about the passage, and participants will engage in the practice of sacred imagination. There will also be time for Q&A and discussion.
